The Consultant interview is the last hurdle before becoming a consultant. Many doctors fail their first interview, but why? Preparing for your consultant interview is unlike preparing for your Royal College examinations. You must prepare in a unique way in order to gain the necessary insight to make it through. This course (which includes our interview book) will provide you with everything you need to know to ensure you feel confident and are successful during your interview. We target trainees appyling for a consultant post and consultants applying for another consultant post, whether you are junior or senior. Once you have completed the course, you will be able to answer every tough question regarding business management, finance, leadership, quality, productivity etc etc. If you have made the decision that you would like to apply for a consultant post, then we can help from the beginning to the end by providing you with the knowledge to prepare your CV, choose the right hospital, arrange / behave during a pre-interview visit and prepare for your final consultant interview. We also cover presentation, communication and skills in relation to structuring / organising yourself. Every aspect is covered in extensive detail and you will find that once you have completed the course and read the book, you will be in a much greater position to perform confidently and succeed, getting the job / promotion you want.
Our overall aim is to provide Consultants in training with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their medical interviews.
